The Best Coffee on the Mountain

Coffee Shop in Pinetop

Whether You LIve or Vacation Here, You Need CoffeE.

You’re headed for a glorious hike, headed to a job site, or dropping kids somewhere. And the coffee part of the morning is either the pot at the gas station that’s been sitting since five, or a drive down into Show Low and a line of people who all had the same idea. Neither is worth the detour, so most mornings you skip it and make something at home you don’t really like much.

Best Coffee On The Mountain, Nearby

7am to 3pm, every day. The coffee trailer sits in the lot with a walk-up window and a deck, run by people who live in Pinetop, which means after a couple of weeks they’ll have your order started before you get to the window. The coffee is Caffe Vita, pulled to order.

Who Roasts It

Caffe Vita. They started in Seattle in 1995, back when most of the country still thought coffee was just coffee. They buy direct from the farms instead of working through a certification program, and they roast by hand on old German machines rather than letting software run it. Three roasteries these days, and ours comes off the one in Phoenix, so it’s a drive up the hill instead of a warehouse somewhere. Two of the blends carry our name, Stu’s Brew and Fro’s Brew, and both come in bags, whole bean or ground, so you can take it home instead of only getting it when you’re out. Anybody can call their coffee the best on the mountain. This is the part you can actually check.

While You're Here

You’re already stopping here anyway. That’s half the point of putting the trailer in this lot. Grab a latte on the way in and knock out the rest of the list while you’re at it. Milk, bread, and whatever the house is out of, ice and water from the machine out front, propane exchange, firewood stacked and ready. It’s the same stop you were already making on the way home from work or on the way out to the lake, except now you’re not doing it without coffee. Pick up a bag of beans on your way out and you’re covered at the house until the next run.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Pinetop Coffee Shop

What are your coffee hours?

7am to 3pm, seven days a week. The coffee trailer runs its own hours separate from the store, so if you’re rolling in early or late, check the sign or call us at (928) 933-2415.

It’s the coffee trailer parked in the lot at Pinetop Provisions, 6025 Buck Springs Rd. You’ll spot it from the road. Walk up to the window to order, and there’s a deck right there if you want to sit for a few minutes. No need to go through the store first.

Caffe Vita. They’ve been roasting since 1995 and they roast our beans in Phoenix, so it’s a short trip up the hill instead of a bag that’s been sitting in a warehouse somewhere. Our house blend is Stu’s Brew, which runs milk chocolate, caramel, and dark cherry.

Yes. We carry our house blends in bags, whole bean or ground, so you can keep the good stuff going at the house instead of only getting it when you’re out. Ask at the window or grab one inside.

We do. Oat and almond are both available on any drink for a dollar. Honey, seasonal syrups, and our Cloud are on the add-on list too, so you can have your drink the way you actually want it instead of the way it comes.

There’s a whole kids section on the board. Cocoa, Italian sodas, and steamed milk, all sized for smaller hands. The Italian sodas are usually the winner. Means you can make the stop without one kid standing there empty-handed.

Yes, cards and tap payments, including phone and watch.

No, it’s a walk-up window, so you’ll park and step up to the trailer. It moves about as fast as a drive-thru line does anyway, and if you’re a regular they’ll usually have you going before you’ve said the whole order.

Coffee's On at 7, Every Day of the Week

There’s a real espresso bar in the lot on Buck Springs Rd, open every single day. Caffe Vita, pulled to order, 7am to 3pm. Grab one on the way to work, on the way out to the lake, or on a slow Tuesday. Best coffee on the mountain. Come tell us if we’re wrong.
